Lawrence Eugene Neese

Lawrence Eugene Neese, loving husband, father, and “Dadaw”, 70, of Jamestown went to his Heavenly home on Thursday, February 6, 2025.

Funeral will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, February 9, 2025 at Shining Light Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Gene attended Shining Light Baptist Church. He owned and operated Neese’s Plumbing since 1982. He was a legend to some and a friend to all. When not working hard for his family, Gene loved to spend time with his family, hunting, fishing and being the best “Dadaw”.  Gene also served as a deacon at Calvary Baptist Tabernacle for forty years along side his dad, Reverend David Neese.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Reverend David and Mildred Neese along with his daughter, Amanda Leigh Neese.

Gene is survived by his wife of forty-nine years, Robin Slate Neese of the home; son, Ross Neese (Tonya) of Sophia; grandchildren, Caitlyn Bunn (Jared), Madison Stratton, Hunter Stratton, Austyn Koronkiewicz (Chris), Ashlyn Dozier, and Trey Chaudoir; great grandson, Ivan Aguilar; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Slate; brother-in-law, Gary Slate (Candy); and a host of cousins and special friends.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Saturday evening at the church.
