Leola “Red” Laster, 86, of Greensboro, died Friday, March 16, 2018, at the residence of her daughter, 2513 Overbrook Drive in Greensboro.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Monday, March 19, 2018, at George Brothers Funeral Service with Pastor Steve Braxton officiating. Burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park.
She was retired from Sew Special in Randleman along with Greensboro Manufacturing and Levi Strauss, and Co.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Earl Eugene Laster; son, Henry Earl Laster; step-daughters, Connie Patterson-Sorto and Brenda Vering; brother, Clarence “Bud” Lefler; and sister, Mildred Coleman.
She is survived by her children, Virginia Fristoe (Roger), Arnold Laster (Tracie), Liz Fogleman (Donnie), and Robert Laster (Teresa); step son, Danny Laster; grandchildren, Jennifer Scoggins (Nathan), Jodi Broadstreet (Josh), Jamie Hopkins (Daniel), Jordan Stafford (Will), Kyle Laster (Kayla), Cody Laster, Heather Marlette (Shaun), Samantha Fogleman, Dalton Laster (Amanda); step-grandchildren, Clint Patterson (Christie), Vickie Benitez; great-grandchildren, Jeremy, Josi, Jackson, Jackie, Brayden, Sadie, and Abbey; step-great-grandchildren, Erica and Annette.
The family will receive friends from 11 until 12:45 Monday at the funeral home prior to the service and other times at the home of Virginia Fristoe, 2513 Overbrook Drive in Greensboro
