Linda Marie (Kelly) Barnes

On Tuesday, June 22, 2021, Linda Kelly Barnes, of Reidsville, North Carolina passed away. Linda was born on January 28, 1950 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was preceded in death by her father, John Joseph Kelly, her mother, Beatrice Higgins Kelly, her three brothers and one sister. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Rodney Kim Barnes. She is also survived by her son, Jack Kelly Barnes, daughter, Kimberly Ann Pitts, granddaughters, Jordan Marie Pitts and Madison Renee Pitts, and her bonus daughter Michelle Godwin. Linda was a wife, mother, grandmother, homemaker, caregiver, taxi cab driver, chef, nurse, doctor, and card dealer. 

Linda had many passions. Very near the top of that list was her furry friends. She joined many of them in Heaven on June 22. Two of her dogs, Sulley and Cloe are still here and missing her dearly. 

Linda loved her family with her whole heart and was always there for them when they needed her most. Her favorite thing to do was to spend time with her loved ones. Traveling was another passion of hers. She shared her love of traveling with her husband and family. She loved being on an island, wearing one of her fun, colorful hats on her head and a drink in her hand with her family by her side. She was an amazing wife, mother, and grandmother that would do anything for her loved ones. She will ALWAYS be loved and missed! 

A graveside service will be 12:00 PM Tuesday,  June 29, 2021 at Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery.
