Linda Carroll (Wilson) May

Mrs. Linda Carroll Wilson May, 75, died Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Forsyth Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 am, on Friday, January 22, 2021 at Lebanon Baptist Church with burial following in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends following the burial. During this difficult time as we deal with Covid, the family understands if you do not feel comfortable attending the services for Linda.  For those that are able to attend the service, please wear a mask and practice safe social distancing. The family also asks that you wear a piece of green in memory of Linda's favorite color. The family wants to thank all of their family and friends for the continued prayers.

Linda was born September 19, 1945 in Altavista, Va to the late Guy Bennett Wilson, Sr. and Vernell Reynolds Wilson.  Linda and Donald were married on January 15, 1966 in a snow storm in Altavista, Virginia.  They decided to make their home and start their family in North Carolina.  They built their home from the ground up and began making memories with their children and grandchildren.  Linda's greatest joy in life was anytime their home was full of people.  She will forever be carried in the hearts of her loved ones.  

She was preceded in death by her brother, Guy Bennett Wilson, Jr.

Linda is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Donald Jennings May, Sr.; son, Donald “Donnie” Jennings May, Jr. and wife Alison; daughter, Jennifer “Jenny” May Surmons and husband, Brandon; grandchildren, Austin Lee May, Victoria "Torie" Leigh May, Luke Andrew May, Brett Parker Surmons, and Emily May Surmons; and sisters Sandra Kaye Wilson Farmer, Elizabeth “Betsy” Jane Wilson Bryant, and Paula Eugene Wilson Watkins. 

Memorial contributions may be made the American Diabetes Association.
