Lonnie William Fox

Lonnie William Fox, 83, died Thursday, April 15, 2021 at his home.

Funeral will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church with burial to follow at the church cemetery.

Mr. Fox was born in Statesville, NC to the late William and Pauline Fox.   He was a member of Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church. Lonnie owned and operated Lonnie’s Heavy Equipment until his retirement. And he loved to go fishing with family and friends.

Along with his parents, Lonnie is preceded in death by his sister, Audrey Barnette.

Mr. Fox is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Barbara Hutchens Fox; stepchildren, Sandra Roberts (Thad), Pamela Hayes (Jerry), Patricia Williams (Steve), and Deborah McBride (John);  grandchildren Tiana Knowles (Bryan), Lee Pietryk (Elizabeth), Justin Roberts (Krishna), Kallie R. McCoy (Shelby), Zachariah Hayes, Nicole Hayes, and Kevin Buckner; great-grandchildren,  Alex Pietryk, Vivian Pietryk, Isabelle Pietryk, Caleb Betts, Evan Betts, Logan Knowles, Ellie Knowles, Caleb Roberts, and Emma Roberts; brother, Johnny Fox (Pat); and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1-1:45 PM Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at the church prior to the service.
