Lorene Keller Bean Shanberg, 92, of Greensboro, went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 30, 2023.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday at Stevens Memorial Baptist Church with Pastor Steve Jarvis officiating. The burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
Lorene was born on December 22, 1930, in Chatham County to the late James and Mary Lowe Keller. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Victor Calvin Bean. She was the oldest and longest attending member of Stevens Memorial Baptist Church. She and her late husband formerly owned and operated Summit Avenue Laundromat. She was formerly employed with Sears and was retired from Cone Mills after more than twenty years of employment.
She is survived by daughters, Susan Bottoms Leach and Debbie Flores; her five grandchildren, Calvin Perdue, Shana Flores, Jennifer Perdue, Kenneth Perdue and Amber Holbrook; her ten great grandchildren, Tyler Radford, Austin Mooney, Daniel Beal, Zackery Radford, Kali Perdue, Shane Mooney, Hunter Radford, Brenton Beal, Maddison Perdue and Cameron Perdue; her three great great grandchildren, Blaklee Knight, Leah Radford and Karter Jones Mooney; sisters, Kathleen Hatton, Doris Shanberg and Barbara Shelton; many nieces, nephews and extended family and her lifeloving pet dog, “Sammy”, who never left her side.
