Mabel Louise (Hulon) Clifton

Mabel L. Clifton, 91, of Pleasant Garden died Saturday, May 13, 2023, at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital.

Funeral will be 11:00am Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at George Brothers Funeral Service with Pastor Mike Barrett officiating. A private burial will be held at Lakeview Memorial Park.

Mabel was an active member of Pleasant Garden Baptist Church and was always ready to serve on church mission trips. She also volunteered for Meals on Wheels. Mabel was employed with Gilbarco for several years and retired from VF Corporation.

She is preceded in death by husbands, Ted W. Farrington and Billy J. Clifton, along with sons, Leon Andrew Farrington and Michael Dewayne Farrington.

Mabel is survived by her children, Judy Gail Straughn, Audrey Atkins, David Terry Farrington, and Steve Worth Farrington; grandchildren, Sherry Marley, Lesley Atkins, Jeff Straughn, Rodney Straughn, Lisa Boyles, Gina Farrington; great grandchildren, Madison, Branson, Cameron, Amanda, Avery, Hunter, Carson, Ashley; and great-grandchildren, Axel, Liam, and Ian.

The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00am at the funeral home prior to the service.
