Mae Lea (Busick) Land

Mrs. Mae Busick Land, 79, went home to be with her Lord Saturday, May 18, 2019 at Edgewood Place in Burlington.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, May 25, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Stevens Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Todd Crum and Dr. Mark Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Park.

Mae was born August 8, 1939 in Guilford County to the late Charlie and Bertha Pinkelton Busick. She was an active member of Stevens Memorial Baptist Church, as long as her health allowed. She enjoyed teaching Sunday School and playing the organ as well as singing in the choir.

In addition to her parents, Mae was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Land and a brother, Edward Busick.

Survivors include her 2 daughters, Sherri Smith (Mark) of Graham and Karen Brown (Mark) of Graham; 2 sisters, Amanda Case of Greensboro and Cricket Pegram (Jeryl) of Greensboro; a sister in law, Helen Busick of Julian; 5 grandchildren, Abby Rowe (Justus), Adam Smith (Ashlynn), Justin Brown, Caleb Brown and Natalie Brown; and a great grandson, Peter Rowe.

The family will receive friends Friday from 6-8 pm at George Brothers Funeral Service.
