Marceen “Monk” Michael, 72, died Saturday, August 12, 2023 at Moses Cone Hospital.

A private Celebration of Life will be held by immediate family.

Marceen was born November 30, 1950 in Guilford County. She loved her dogs, playing cards on Saturday nights with her family and friends, and listening to music.

She is survived by her children, Meshell Sigmon, Debra Locklear and Russel Cox; grandchildren, Christopher Locklear, Eric Locklear, Michael Cox, Joshua Cox, Douglas Sigmon, Tylor Sigmon, Wesley Norton, and Sam Norton; and great grandchildren, Christopher Locklear, Jr., Noah Locklear, Tylor Sigmon, Jr., Nolan Sigmon, and Autumn Sigmon.
