Margaret Baker Darnell

Margaret Baker Darnell, 92, of Randleman passed away Wednesday November 27, 2024 at Hospice of Randolph County.

A private burial will be held at Sardis Primitive Baptist Church in Madison.

Margaret was born in Stokes County to the late Welburn and Ida Collins Baker. She worked as a security guard supervisor. Ms. Darnell enjoyed watching the birds and doing puzzles and she could always be found listening to gospel music. She most enjoyed spending time with her family and they will treasure their time together.

In addition to her parents, Margaret is preceded in death by her daughters Sheila Vermeulen and Linda Gail Sparks; son David Smith; siblings Jack, Elwood, Ollie, Michael Mae, Naomi, and Elsie.

Surviving are her grandchildren Tania Hendrix (Tim), Tim Sparks (Lisa), Heather Johnson (Charles), Jonathan Smith (Amber), Anthony Smith (Rebecca), and Jeffrey Tuttle; great-grandchildren Brittany Sparks, Ryan Collins, Mackenzie Tuttle, Joshua Carty, Cody Tuttle, and Logan Tuttle.
