Margaret Anna (Payne) Gray

Mrs. Margaret Anna Payne Gray, 80 passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at her residence, surrounded by her family.

Services will be held Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Guilford Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1-2 pm, prior to the service in the Mausoleum Chapel.

Margaret was born July 25, 1941 in Danville, VA to the late Ralph Oliver and Sammie Mazie Spangler Payne. She was a loving homemaker, who loved doing her crafts and geneology.

In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by 3 sisters and 3 brothers.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Carson Lee Gray; her children, Sharon “Sherry” Gray Lynch and Michael Carson Gray (wife Angela); 2 sisters, Lera Smith (husband Delbert) and Virginia Nicholson; 6 grandchildren, Anna Lynch, Westley Gray, Erin Gray, Taylor Gray, Brittany Dunphy and Brandon Draeger; 7 great grandchildren and her special fur baby, Gidget.
