Obituary

Margaret Elizabeth Spoon Morgan, 99, died Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at Camden Place.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at Rocky Knoll Baptist Church with burial to follow at Guilford Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Mrs. Morgan was born July 4, 1923 in Chatham county to the late Joe and Beulah Spoon.  She was an active member of Rocky Knoll Baptist Church and retired as the church secretary after 41 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Otis Morgan; sons, Mark Morgan, Sr. and Richard Morgan; grandson, Mark Morgan, Jr.; sister, Betty Dye; and brothers DeWitt and Joe Spoon, Jr.

Mrs. Morgan is survived by her son, Terry Morgan; grandchildren, Lisa Alldredge (Kennith), Angel Carroll; step-grandchildren, Traci, Jodi, Jeremy, and Tori London; and eight great-grandchildren. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rocky Knoll Baptist Church, 501 Kirkland Street, Greensboro, NC 27406.
