Margie Joyner Haynes, 81, previously of Summerfield, died early on Thursday, October 31, 2024 at Maple Grove Health and Rehabilitation.
Memorial service will be held 2:00pm Saturday, November 9th, 2024 at Lutheran Church of Our Father. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1:00pm.
Margie was born in Rockingham County to the late William Harvey “Buddy” and Lilly Irene Joyner. She was a member for many years and served in many capacities at Lutheran Church of Our Father including singing in the choir. Margie enjoyed being involved with the Moose Lodge and taking trips to the beach. She had a servant’s heart who always placed the needs of others before her own. Her greatest joy was seeing her family come together to spend time with her and loving on her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Margie is preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Terry Lee Haynes; grandson Jason Haynes; and her siblings Sylvia Joyner and Arnold Joyner.
She is survived by her sons Curtis Brian Haynes and William Mandel Haynes (Wendy Johnson); grandchildren Caleb Haynes, Crystal Novak, Leo Haynes, Tiffany Haynes, Heather Haynes, Crystal West, and Timothy Johnson; great-grandchildren Jack, Layla, Annaleigh, Lacy, Lilliana, Braxton, Ezra, and Maya; siblings Rene Hearrin, Sandra Chandler, Wayne Joyner, and Mark Joyner.
George Brothers Funeral Service is honored to assist the Haynes family.
