Mark Elliott Ashby, Sr., 69, passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2025.

Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at George
Brothers Funeral Service, 803 Greenhaven Drive, Greensboro NC 27406.  The family will
receive friends following the service at the funeral home. In honor of Mark's love for the Baltimore Orioles, those attending the service are invited to wear their favorite Orioles attire.

Mark was born April 10, 1956, in Baltimore, Maryland. He was the Son to Eleanore M. Ashby
and John L. Ashby. He grew up in the great neighborhood of Woodmoor in Baltimore County,
Maryland and he attended Milford Mill Senior High School in Baltimore County. As a youth and
teenager he loved baseball and even made it to the Pony Leagues. He was a lover of good music,
he loved steamed crabs, steak dinners, going fishing, and Baltimore Orioles Baseball. He was a
single father that raised an amazing son!

He is survived by his mother, Eleanore M. Ashby; son, Mark E. Ashby, Jr. (Danielle); sisters,
Tanya Krieger (Larry) and Dawn Ashby Caldwell; brother, Eric Ashby-Bey (Lailah) and several
nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, John L. Ashby.
