Martha Corine Jessie

Martha Corine Jessie, 85, of Greensboro passed away on October 25, 2024.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at George Brothers Funeral Service. The burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 noon to 1:00pm prior to the service.

Martha was born in Rockingham County on August 4, 1939, to the late John and Margaret Jessie. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Helen Jessie McGrady. Martha was formerly employed with Sunbeam Bakery and was retired from Charles D. Roberts Lumber in Greensboro. She was also a member of Grace Tabernacle Church in Greensboro.

Martha is survived by her siblings, Doris Jessie of Greensboro, NC, John Wesley Jessie, Jr. (Wilma) of Reidsville, NC, Linda Jessie Jones of Jacksonville, NC and David Jessie (Lynn) of Rock Cave, WV; her nephews and nieces, John Jessie, Jerry Jessie, Wesley Jessie, Mandy Barker, Courtney Chandler, Richard Jones, Jr., Charles David Jones and Jeff Jones and numerous other loving extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
