Martha was born in Guilford County, NC on September 20, 1942, to the late Levi and Dorothy Everett. She was a long-time cosmetologist and hairdresser including owning and operating Estelle’s Beauty Shop. For a few years she drove a truck with her husband Andy and they traveled all across the United States seeing the sites of the cities and states while working. Martha was a devoted mother and grandmother, especially to “Trev” whom she adored and helped care for including trips to Tweetsie Railroad, Cherokee, Dollywood and Walt Disney World to name a few.
Martha learned American Sign Language to better communicate with her grandson Trevous. She liked to shop and almost always bought something for Trevous. Martha also loved to cook and decorate for her family for all of the different holidays, especially Easter and Christmas.
Martha is preceded in death by her husband, Andy “Slim” Robinson.
She is survived by her children, David Ayers (Carla) and Sherrie Wyrick (David Thacker); stepchildren, Kathy Stevens (Roger), Dennis Robinson (Burma) and Michael Robinson (Misty); seven grandchildren including special grandson, Trevous Wyrick and several great grandchildren.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Countryside Nursing and Rehab Center in Stokesdale for the compassionate care provided to Martha. They also extend a special acknowledgment to her daughter-in-law, Carla Ayers, and son-in-law, David Thacker, for their unwavering support and loving attention during this time, as well as family and friends that came to visit and called.
