Martha "Suzanne" (Stephens) Leonard

Martha Suzanne Leonard, 86, of 3922 Glendale Ct. died peacefully at her home May 23, 2025 with her loving, caring husband Clyde Edward Leonard by her side.

Mrs. Leonard was a loving wife of 66 years, mother to three, grandmother to four and great grandmother too. She was a member of Glenwood Presbyterian Church for more than 60 years and served on its communication and prayer chain. She loved plants and tending to her flower gardens.

Mrs. Leonard was preceded in death by her sons, Steven Leonard and Christopher Leonard. She is survived by her husband Clyde Edward (Eddie) Leonard, son Michael Leonard and wife LeeSa of Yadkinville, daughter-in-law Susan Leonard, grandchildren Sarah Pickrell, Jesse Leonard, Christie Leonard and Jeremy Leonard, great grandchildren Brianna Pickrell, Trey Robertson, Bryson Leonard and Blaize Leonard. Also surviving her are her brother, William F. Stephens Ill and wife Patsy, nephews Eric and Brian Stevens.

She received loving care in her later years not only from her husband but grandniece and neighbor Jessica Romine.

Sue devoted her life to her family and loved hosting church friends at her home with outside hot dog roasts and inside get-to-gethers.

Her husband Eddie Leonard, son Michael, daughter-in-laws LeeSa and Susan Leonard equipped her with everything in the last stages of her life.

Services will be Saturday May 31 at George Brothers, 803 Greenhaven Dr, Greensboro, NC. Memorial service will begin at 10:00 am with visitation time following the service. There will be no burial service.
