Mary Parker Obituary

Mary Frances Parker, 87, of Greensboro passed away Saturday, May 22nd, 2021.

The family will receive friends at George Brothers Funeral Service on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 from 12:30-1:30 PM. Graveside service will follow at Gilmore Memorial Park in Julian at 2:00 PM.

Mary was born March 20th, 1934 in Randolph County to the late Harvey and Grace Cable. She retired from Sears with over 25 years of service. She was a member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church. She was an incredible cook and enjoyed cooking for family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her husband Charles Winston Parker; a daughter, Brenda Parker; sisters Jewel, Gladys and Wyldene; brothers, Billy and Larry; grandson, Jimmy; and granddaughter, Courtney.


She is survived by her son, Charlie Parker (Mae) of Blanch; grandchildren, David Taylor(Janet), Joe Gurkin, Buck Matthews(Kathy), Rebecca Oldham and Tiffany Oldham; and great-grandchildren, Chase, Joseph, Taylor Leigh, Jordan and Angel.

The family would like to thank all of the family and friends for their care and support of Mary over the last several years.
