Mary Ellen (Williams) Stinson

Mary Ellen Williams Stinson, 81, passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2024.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00pm on Friday, August 16, 2024 at George Brothers Funeral Service. A graveside service will be held at Mount Olivet Church Cemetery in Fries, VA on Monday, August 19, 2024 at 11:00am.

Mary was born in Grayson County, VA to the late Ernest and Ocie Anders Williams. She was an independent and free-spirited woman who was not afraid to pave her own way. Mary became a truck driver which allowed her to see the world and provided her with many wonderful opportunities. In her spare time, she enjoyed being outdoors, camping, fishing, and anything involving the water. Mary was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Buddy Stinson; grandson, Tommy Martin; sisters Carolyn and Evelyn; and her brother Ray.

Surviving is her son, Billy Martin and Penny; grandson Brock Martin; great-grandsons Little Brock, Travis, and Maddox; and her sister Linda Palmer.
