Michael Patrick McGinty

Michael Patrick McGinty, 51, of Greensboro, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2025. He was born on March 8, 1974 in Houston, Texas to Sandra Williamson and the late Mearl McGinty.

Michael had a big, generous heart. He loved people fully and openly, and he made everyone around him feel cared for. Cooking was one of his greatest joys, and sharing food was his way of showing love. He also loved music more than almost anything. Playing bass brought him so much happiness, and music was a passion that stayed with him through every chapter of his life.

Michael is survived by his daughter, Cheyenne Masciotra and her spouse, Kendra Masciotra. He is also survived by his mother, Sandra Williamson and his siblings, Jamie McGinty King, Lori and her husband, Dave Palmer, Peggy McGinty, Matthew McGinty and Mark McGinty. He leaves behind many cousins, nieces and nephews who he loved and who loved him right back. Family meant a lot to him in every form it came in.

He is reunited with his father, Mearl McGinty; his brother, George McGinty; his partner, Megan and a grandbaby lost too soon. Knowing they are together brings comfort to the family.

Michael loved his Denver Broncos, and he adored his dog, Teakwood, who was his constant companion. His life had challenges, but he met them with as much love and hope as he could. His family will remember him for his heart, his humor, his music, and the way he loved, not the hardships he carried.

A celebration of life will be held in the summer of 2026. Family and friends will gather to share stories, cook his favorite foods, listen to the music he loved, and honor the joy he brought into their lives.
