Mildred Rebecca (Wall) Harris

Mildred Rebecca Wall Harris, 96, of Greensboro passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at her home.

Graveside service will be 10:00 AM Monday, September 25, 2023 at Guilford Memorial Park.

Mildred was born July 14, 1927 in Surry County, NC to the late Ed and Sallie Wall. She has made her home in Greensboro for the past seventy years. Mildred was employed with the Guilford County School System serving mostly as a teacher’s aid at Sedgefield Elementary School until her retirement. She was a member of the former Central Pentecostal Holiness Church where she served as pianist and choir director. Mildred was fiercely independent and full of life.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Mon Clay Harris; children, Roderick Harris and Jayne Harris; and sister, Helen Dudley.

She is survived by her sons, Lynn Harris (Sherry) of Greensboro and John Harris of Staley, NC; grandchildren, Thayer Coleman (Chris), Jennifer Sumner (Brad), Aaron Harris (Leah), Christal Howard (Chris), Tiffany Harris, and Breanna Harris; ten great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family that will miss her.
