Mildred K. (Fields) Neese

Mildred K. Fields Neese, 90, of Jamestown, went home to be with the Lord on April 28, 2021.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday at Shining Light Baptist Church. The burial will take place at Guilford Memorial Park.

Mildred was born in Guilford County on May 4, 1930 to the late Robert and Doshia Whitley Fields. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Tabernacle in Kernersville. She was formerly employed at P. Lorillard and then retired from D. H. Griffin after 23 years of service.

She was a faithful pastor’s wife for 69 years and servant to the Lord. Her husband, Reverend David Neese preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Marylene Griffin and Lois Fields and her brothers, Lawrence, Clifton, and Paul Fields.

She is survived by her son, Lawrence “Gene” Neese (Robin); her grandchildren, Amanda Neese (Mark) and Ross Neese (Tonya); great grandchildren, Caitlyn Neese, Madison Stratton, Hunter Stratton, Austyn Koronkiewicz (Chris), Ashlyn Dozier and Trey Chaudoir; great great grandchild, Ivan Aguilar and her brother-in-law, David Griffin, Sr.

The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shining Light Baptist Church or Shining Light Missions Fund.
