Milton "Bud" Edward Harris

Milton “Bud” Edward Harris, 83, passed away Thursday, August 7, 2025.

A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at Living Waters Baptist Church.

Bud was born December 2, 1941, in Guilford County to the late Stuart Maitland Harris and Edna Davis Harris.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his siblings, Joseph Maitland Harris, Emma Griffin, and Mary Hoffend.  He was a member of Living Waters Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon. Bud served in the US Navy and retired as Senior Chief and also served in the US Navy Reserves.  He was also retired from the Greensboro Police Department and the Guilford County Sheriffs Department. He was a member of NC Retired Peace Officers Association.

He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Shirley G. Harris; sons, Jim Harris and wife Leigh, and David Harris and wife Tonya; grandchildren, Juleigh Harris, Brandon Craiger and wife Chloe, Austin Craiger; and nephew, Mike Elks.
