Mr. Billy Ray McCormick

Mr. Billy Ray McCormick, age 84, passed away Sunday July 6, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

A service to celebrate his life will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, in the Mausoleum Chapel of Westminster Gardens, officiated by Rev. Fred Zickafoose.

Mr. McCormick was born in Worth, West Virginia to the late T.S. and Lillian Hayes McCormick and was the last of six children.  He attended University of North Carolina Greensboro where he received his bachelor’s degree in business and retired from the United States Federal Government as a bank examiner. He was proud Vietnam veteran of the United States Air Force.

In addition to his parents, Mr. McCormick was preceded in death by his siblings Elwood McCormick, Juanita Whitehead, Pete Robinson, Warren McCormick and Wilma Canoy.

Mr. McCormick is survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

In honor of Mr. McCormick, memorial contributions may be made to Shiloh Methodist Church Scholarship Fund, 7394 Shiloh Rd, Liberty, NC 27298.
