Mr. Billy Ray Robinette, 91, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 1, 2025, at the Arboretum of Heritage Green in Greensboro, North Carolina.
A service to celebrate his life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at Christ United Methodist Church, Greensboro.
A native of Kannapolis, North Carolina, Bill was the son of the late Roy and Kathleen Safrit Robinette. He honorably served in the United States Army and later graduated from East Carolina University with a bachelor’s degree. He dedicated thirty-nine years of service to Liberty Mutual Life Insurance Company, retiring as a sales manager. Bill was a devoted member of Christ United Methodist Church and enjoyed many years as an avid golfer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Carri Robinette; his sister, Bonnie Wallace; and his brothers, Richard, Ernest, S.L, and Ralph Robinette.
He is survived by his loving wife of forty-one years, Jo Robinette; his children, Chris Robinette (Nancy), Brent Priddy, Ami Stephens (Ken), and Greg Priddy (Jen); eleven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren; and one brother Ned Robinette. His legacy of love, faith, and family devotion will live on through them.
