Obituary
Mr. Dennis Warren Funk, age 70, passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at his residence.
A memorial gathering will be held from 3:00pm-4:00pm Sunday April 23, 2023, at George Brothers Funeral Service.
Mr. Funk was born in Roanoke, Virginia, to the late Howard and Julia Felts Funk. He was a graduate from the University of North Carolina Greensboro and retired from there with over 25 years of service. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Opal Funk; children Amber Kallam and Guy Funk; grandchildren Timothy Austin Kallam (Lindsay), Allison Paige Kallam, Chloe Gazella Funk, and Riley Alexander Funk; great-grandchild Malcom Tate Kallam.
