Mr. Edward "Eddie" Monroe Billings

Edward Monroe Billings, born on May 13, 1944, in Wilkes County, NC, unexpectedly passed away at his residence in Whitsett, NC on March 25, 2025. 

Eddie had a passion for serving and helping others. He fiercely loved his wife Lea of 59 years and was a devoted father and grandfather. But most of all, he loved his Savior and Lord. When he accepted Jesus at the age of 16, he went all in. He loved the Bible and was faithful to teach others the truths he studied about in the Word. 

Those left to cherish his memory are wife, Lea Billings; daughters, Gwynette Jennings (Doug) and Sherrie Billings (Christopher); grandchildren Andrew Parrish, Lindsey Parrish, Justin Woolard, Madison Jennings, and Cooper Jennings; sisters Kay Gant (Rex) and Gwenda Harris (Bill), and brother Barry Dillard (Pat). 

Visitation will begin at 1:00PM on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at George Brothers Funeral Service with the memorial service to follow at 2:00PM. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Calvary Baptist Church in McLeansville, NC or to the American Heart Association.
