Mr. Garry Alex Milloway

Mr. Garry Alex Milloway, age 85, passed away Tuesday March 22, 2022 surrounded by his loving family at his residence.

A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 27, 2022, at George Brothers Funeral Service with Elders Barney and Rick Yaskiewicz. The family will receive friends following the memorial service.

Mr. Milloway was born in Randolph County to the late E. W. “Jake” and Rachel Ruth Faircloth Milloway. He was a 1956 graduate of Guilford High School.  While in high school, he worked with his father at the well-known and well-loved Milloway Service Station on West Market Street.  He furthered his education at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and worked as an airplane mechanic before taking over his father’s service station. He retired as Head Parts Manager of the Guilford County School Bus Garage in 1999.

Garry had a servant’s heart and was always willing to help others.  He was often seen lending a hand to someone under the hood of their car.  He was a faithful member of The Church of High Point, Global Missions.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Ruth Milloway.

He is survived by his loving wife, Vallie Sharpe Craddock Milloway of High Point; son, David Garry Milloway, and daughter-in-law, Rebecca Grimwood Milloway, of Durham, NC; sister, Rachel Marie Loflin, and brother-in-law, Charles Loflin, of Greensboro; and brother, Charles “Chub” Milloway, and sister-in-law, Carole Milloway, of High Point.  Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Global Missions  "The Church of High Point", 4427 Hunter Oaks Court, High Point, NC  27265 (Please Note "Garry Memorial Fund" On The Memo Line), Samaritan’s Purse, or the Salvation Army.
