Mr. Harda "Mr. C." Callicutt Obituary

Mr. Harda Augustus Callicutt, age 85, passed away Friday February 28, 2020 at Moses Cone Hospital.

 A memorial service will be 2:00pm Tuesday at George Brothers Funeral Service.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service time.

 Mr. Callicutt was born to the late Robert and Carrie Stallings Callicutt.  He was a Jamestown High School graduate. He was active in church throughout his life, most recently at Good Shepherd Church which included serving as a deacon.  His life long work was in various aspects of the furniture industry, retiring from Charles D. Roberts Wood Manufacturing Company after 25 years of service.

 Well known as “Mr. C.” he was quick with a smile and joke, a helping hand, and mentored many in their walk with Jesus.

 In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two half brothers Loie Priddy and Wesley Priddy.

 He is survived by his wife Gearlene Hunt Callicutt of 26 years; children Rebecca Collier, Juanita Evans, Kimberly Haney, and Amanda Jacobs; sister-in-laws Nancy Priddy and Sandra Priddy.  Also surviving are seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

 In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Good Shepherd Church, 4453 Sumner Church Rd. Greensboro, NC 27406.
