Mr. Jack Donald Dixon

Mr. Jack Donald Dixon, Sr., age 90, passed away Saturday, August 30, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm Friday at George Brothers Funeral Service.  A burial will follow at Westminster Gardens with military honors given by Randolph County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends beginning at 12 noon at the funeral home.

A native of Greensboro, Mr. Dixon was born to the late Theodore and Beatrice Welchel Dixon.  He was a faithful member of Pleasant Garden Baptist Church and Retired from WFMY News 2, after 40 years of service, as an audio / camera operator. He was a veteran of the United States Navy while serving in the Korean War and served with the National Guard for two years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Mary Dixon.

Mr. Dixon is survived by his wife Joyce Davis; children Jack Dixon, Jr. and Joe Dixon.  Also surviving are four grandchildren Chapel Dixon, Cole Dixon, Haley Dixon, and Tate Dixon.
