Mr. James Edward Brady, Sr.

Mr. James Edward Brady, Sr., age 82, passed away Friday April 28, 2023, at Moses Cone Hospital.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00pm Wednesday at George Brothers Funeral Service.  Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service time.

A native of Greensboro, Mr. Brady was born to the late Herbert and Dollie Poole.  He was a graduate of the 1959 class of Bessemer High School and retired from Carolina Steel Company as an administrative assistant.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister Virginia Cauthen; brothers Charles Brady and William Brady; nephews Jake, Jr., Pete, and Waylon Frazier, Kenneth and Jarret Brady; niece Judy Brown 

He is survived by his children James E. Brady, Jr. (Rhiannon) of Pleasant Garden and Chris Brady (DeAnne) of Greensboro.  Also surviving are three grandchildren Mitchell Brady, Hannah Brady Littlefield, and Maggie Mickle.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Mental Health Association of Greensboro 700 Walter Reed Rd. Greensboro, NC 27403.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of the 2H Unit of Moses Cone Hospital as well as the staff at Clapp’s Nursing Center in Pleasant Garden.
