Mr. John "Jack" Kealey Obituary

Mr. John “Jack” Edward Kealey, age 88, passed away Tuesday March 5, 2024, in the Care Center of Friends Home West.

A memorial mass will be held at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church on Wednesday March 13th at 11am, celebrated by Fr. Joseph Mack.

Mr. Kealey was born in Queens, New York, to the late John and Margaret Lyon Kealey. He was a veteran of the United States Army, a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, and the Knights of Columbus. Jack retired from Western Electric/AT&T with thirty-five years of service. He volunteered for twenty-five years at the Cardiac Rehab Center at Moses Cone Hospital, helping hundreds of patients recover from open-heart surgeries. Jack was also an avid golfer, and especially enjoyed traveling to Ireland with friends to play the many courses there.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Fr. Edward Kealey and Bob Kealey.

Jack is survived by his wife Helen, daughter Kerri, son Tom and daughter-in-law Vandana, brother Don Kealey and wife Margaret, sister-in-law Barbara, and nieces and nephews.

Jack’s family is so grateful to his wonderful caregivers at Harmony and Friends Home West.
