Mr. Kenny Ralph Edwards

Mr. Kenny Ralph Edwards, age 67, passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday March 31, 2021 at Wesley Long Hospital after a year-long battle with cancer.

A funeral service will be 3:00pm on Friday, April 2, at Grace Baptist Church with Rev. Todd Nance, Rev. J.R. Gossett, and Rev. Chris Davis officiating the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00pm-3:00pm at the church.

Kenny was born in Guilford county to the late Chesley and Grace Armfield Edwards.  He was a faithful member of Grace Baptist Church after receiving Christ as Savior on September 7, 2020.  He retired with 28 years of service from Contract Erectors as construction foreman.  Kenny was very mechanically inclined and could fix anything.  Contract Erectors lost a wealth of information when he retired.  He was an avid NC State fan and enjoyed building model cars and remote-control airplanes.  He loved his two Mopar cars and won many trophies at various car shows.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers: Junior, Charles, David, and Jimmy.

He is survived by his loving wife, of forty-six years, Robin Edwards; children Kimberly York (Alan), Ashley Harger (Michael), and Cody Edwards (Madison) all of Asheboro; sister Margie Thompson of Mebane; brothers Jerry Edwards (Ann) of Mayodan and Billy Edwards of Greensboro.  He was adored by his five grandchildren Channing York, Bodie Harger, Carlyn York, Finley Harger, Kennedy Edwards, and baby on the way (Camille “Millie” Edwards).
