Mr. Stacy Wade Gibbs

Mr. Stacy Wade Gibbs, 88, passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at Moses Cone Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Friday, September 24, 2021 in Lakeview Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel.  His body will lie in state from 2:30 until 3 p.m., Friday, prior to the service at Lakeview. 

Stacy was born April 21, 1933 in Hyde County, to the late Nathaniel “Nat” and Rena Bell Spencer Gibbs.  He was a former member of McConnell Road Baptist Church and was a veteran of the US Air Force. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Gilda Marshall.

Survivors include his three daughters, Brenda Gibbs, Karen Reynolds (David), Mary Early (Doug), and their mother, Marlylin Gibbs; two brothers, Allen Gibbs (Sue), and Marco Gibbs (Denise); one sister, Hazel Luce; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
