Mrs. Barbara Jean Pait, age 77, went home to her Heavenly Father on August 7, 2022.
A funeral service will be held 12:30 Saturday at New Covenant Church with Rev. Kevin Coberly (Grandson), Rev. Josh DaWalt, and Rev. Daryl Lewis officiating the service with a private family burial at Guilford Memorial Park on Monday. The family will receive friends beginning at 11:00am Saturday at New Covenant Church in Pleasant Garden.
The youngest of fourteen children, she was born in Scotland County to the late Ramie and Sallie Taylor White. She was a faithful member of New Covenant Church, former employee of Stamey’s Barbecue, and avid and loyal fan of Elvis Pressley, and loved spending time at the beach.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death, by the love of her life of 60 years, Johnnie Earl Pait; son Johnnie Earl Pait,, Jr.
She is survived by her loving daughters Angela Pait Coberly (Michael) of Pleasant Garden and Tara Pait Berry (Chris) of Montezuma, IN.; daughter-in-law Leslie Pait; sister Sally White Whitaker; grandchildren Amanda Coberly Moore (Robert), Kevin Coberly (Kristin), Devin L. Carter, Ariel Pait McDowell (Matt) Johnnie E. Pait, III, Rebecca Berry (Andy), Jessica Berry, and Dannica Berry; great-grandchildren Stephanie (Terry), Sam, Sean, Shayla, Chance, Khloee, Devin, Jr., Aaliyah, Abigail, Bethany, Mason, and Shiloh; honorary grandchildren Josh Ward and Katelyn Ward Becker. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
