Mrs. Carolyn Ann (Thore) Long

Mrs. Carolyn Thore Long, age 75, passed away Friday October 11, 2019 at Beacon Place.

 A funeral service will be 2:00 pm Monday at North Greensboro Church of God.  Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm-2:00pm Monday at the church.

 Mrs. Long was born, in Rockingham County, to the late John and Mary Lou Thore.  She was a homemaker, who enjoyed gardening, taking care of her flowers, but most of all loving and caring for her family.

 Mrs. Long is survived by her loving husband of 58 years Charles Long of Greensboro; children, Teresa Elkins (Steve) of Gibsonville, and John Long of Greensboro; sister, Barbara Allred (Charles) of Reidsville; brother, David Thore (Kimberly) of Summerfield and nephews, John and Nathan Allred and Jason and J.D. Thore.  She was adored by her grandchildren Tiffany and Grace. She also had two step grandchildren, Amber and Megan and four step great grandchildren.

 In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to North Greensboro Church of God, 3605 Summit Ave. Greensboro, NC 27405.
