Mrs. Dixie Farr Ratley

Mrs. Dixie Farr Ratley, age 80, went home to her Heavenly Father on Monday June 14, 2021 at her residence.

 A funeral service will be 11:00am Friday the 18th at George Brothers Funeral Service. A private committal service will be held 11:00am Monday June 21st at Guilford Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and following the service.

 Mrs. Ratley was born in Thomaston, Georgia to the late Charlie and Unice Hall Farr.  In 1953, her family moved to Norfolk, Virginia where she graduated from Maury High School and married her husband of 59 years Ed Ratley.  In 1965 she moved to Greensboro where she later became employed with Guilford County Mental Health and retired with 25 years of service.

 Her number one goal in life was to lead others to Christ. She was loved and well respected by the members of Jubilee Christian Center where she served as a Deaconess. 

 In addition to her husband Ed Ratley of Brown Summit, she is survived by sons David Ratley (Robin) of Greensboro, Chris Ratley (Alison) of Brown Summit, and Tim Ratley of Greensboro; brothers Steve Farr (Barbara) of Georgia and Roger Farr (Ann) of Virginia.  She was adored by her grandchildren Christina (boy friend John Davies), Ashley (Colton), Katie, and Ben who affectionately called her “Mee-maw”.

 In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Jubilee Christian Center 143 Blue Bell Rd. Greensboro, NC  27406.
