Mrs. Edna Carter (Bunn) Carroll

Mrs. Edna Carter (Bunn) Carroll transitioned from her earthly home to her Heavenly home on June 23, 2020.  She was born on March 27, 1931 to Hall C. and Vera Belk Carter in Monroe, North Carolina.

She leaves to cherish her memory her five children: Jackie B. Rashe (Mike), Harold L.  Bunn, Jr. (Jennifer), William H. Bunn, Kathryn B. Knight, and Sandra B. McDaniel; twelve grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren; sisters; Kathleen Horton and Ann Crump of Monroe, NC.  Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Harold L. Bunn, Sr. and Charles D. Carroll, siblings Margaret Sikes, Inez Phillips, and James D. Carter.

Our mother was a talented seamstress, enjoyed gardening, traveling, reading, and baking pecan cookies at Christmas for her family.  Throughout her life, she was an active member of St. Paul Presbyterian Church, Jamestown Presbyterian Church, and Christ Wesleyan Church.

A celebration of life service will be held at Christ Wesleyan Church, 2400 South Holden Rd., at 2:00pm Saturday June 27. There will be a private burial at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Alzheimer Association, Authoracare Collective, or Greensboro Urban Ministries.
