Mrs. Elsie Wrenn Brady

Elsie Wrenn Brady, 86, of Greensboro, passed away on October 11th, 2019 surrounded by her family.

 Elsie was born on August 4th, 1933 to Howard and Maggie Wrenn. She retired from Cone Mills where she worked as a weaver. In her free time, she enjoyed going with family and friends to play bingo. Elsie enjoyed attending Sunday services at Grace Baptist Temple in Julian N.C. She never met a stranger rather it be at church, home, work, or in her neighborhood. She was loved by all who had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know her.

 She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years William Brady, son Kenneth Brady, and brother Warren Wrenn.

 She is survived by her daughters Judy Brown of Greensboro and Lisa Sweeney (David) of Staley and her siblings Marie Lucas, Mary Ellis, Sue Rumley, Wallace Wrenn, Bill Wrenn, and Randy Wrenn. She is also survived by her grandchildren Lynn Newman (Robert), Karen Fields (Brian), Amy Brown (David), Kenny Brady (Amy), Tabatha Sweeney, Crystal Sweeney, Mary Coble (Michael), and Preston Sweeney. She will be missed greatly by her great-grandchildren Katie Hayes (Ryan), Lee Newman (Amanda), Matt Fields (Kelsey), Justin Brown, Dylan Fields, Jessica Brown, Tyler Fields, Dillon Brady, A.J. Vera, Rusty Coble, Alex Vera, Brady Rodriguez, Landon Salinas, Celeste Venegas, Oakllynn Sweeney, Elizabeth Rose Santes, and her great-great-grandson Aiden Gleason. Although they came into her life later, she loved Morgan, Uribel, Hailey, Hunter, Luke, Marcus, Bella, Kenzie, Tabitha, and Gail just as she did her own grandchildren.

 The family would like to say a special thanks to her hospice team for their love and care. They were amazing during this difficult time.

 The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 13th from 7 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at George Brothers in Greensboro. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel at George Brothers. Burial will follow at the cemetery at Grace Baptist Temple in Julian N.C.

 In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Greensboro and the Alzheimer’s Association of Greensboro.
