Ernestine Patterson Marsh, age 89, held the hand of her Lord and Savior and peacefully went home on Monday, August 5, 2024, surrounded by her family.
Marrying her high school sweetheart, Jr. they raised their family by farming tobacco. She was known for her cooking; especially taters and corn, speaking truth as she saw it, and her faithfulness to her God, family, and her loving church family, at Community Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas M. Marsh, Jr. and her parents Clara Carola Hinshaw and Hollie Benjamin Patterson.
She leaves behind three children, Thomas Marsh (Judy), Lamecia Simmons (David), and James Marsh (Bobbie), five grandchildren, Daniel Marsh (Tina), Dustin Marsh (Kristin), Ben Marsh (Shanna), Brittney Bissett (Alan), and Callie Franklin (Tyler) and 14 great grandchildren; her dear sister and best friend, Estelene Rayle and a host of nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at Community Baptist Church on Sunday, August 11th at 2:00 pm. A burial will follow in the church cemetery with visitation immediately after in the church life center.

One thing is for sure…this family is going to miss their Memaw.
