Mrs. Joyce Ann Doggett, 70, of Pleasant Garden, passed away on August 5, 2024.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm on Sunday, August 11, at George Brothers Funeral Service. The burial will follow at Rehobeth Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the family life center following the service.
Joyce was born on February 7, 1954, to the late Clyde and Jeannette Seay. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Gerald Seay and C. T. Seay; step sister, Margie Holder; step brothers, Raymond and Troy, Jr. and parents-in-law, Jack and Doris Doggett. Joyce was a member of Rehobeth Church. She was employed with A Cleaner World on Battleground Avenue, Southern Optical, Kayser-Roth, and was retired from Stockhausen-Degussa. The job she loved the most was being “Mimi” to her grandchildren and great grandchildren and her favorite thing to do was to meet with her “Margarita Millionaire Ladies”.
She is survived by her husband of thirty-one years, James “Jimmy” Doggett; daughters, Christy Sheppard (Robbie) and Randa Rumley; grandchildren, Celeste Sheppard (Aaron), Hunter Sheppard (Bailey), Hayden Rumley and Camden Rumley; great grandchildren, Thomas Sheppard and Peyton Tiller; brothers, Eddie Seay and Billy Ayers; step sisters, Mary Sue Williamson and Sharron “Punkin” Ayers; niece, Ginny Pasquini Webster (Seth); nephew, Ian Pasquini (Ashley) and sister-in-law, Molly Fox (Dave); great nephew, Beau Waylon Webster and her honorary sister, Gail Gentry.
