Mrs. Lina Maezel Main Brown, age 90, passed away Friday April 15, 2022 at Beacon Place.
A graveside service will be held 3:00pm Sunday at Rehobeth United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service.
Lina was known to many as “Granny”. She was born in Trade, Tennessee to the late Theodore and Goldie Collins Main. She was an avid gardener and showed her love to others by cooking and making many types of crafts. She retired from Burlington Industries as a lab technician and was a member of Rehobeth United Methodist Church where she enjoyed making prayer shawls.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Calvin Brown; children Dwight Brown, Barbara Buckner, Joyce Carrier, and Janet Capps.
She is survived by her children Faythe Johnson, Linda Straughn, Sandra Spivey, Danny Brown, Blake Miller, Viki Hudson, and Rebecca Wilson; sister Lolita Dickens; brothers Cleve Main, Colis Main, Darwin Main, and Kerry Rhea Main. Also surviving are numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
