Mrs. Rebecca "Faye" Greene Smith

Mrs. Rebecca “Faye” Smith, age 79, passed away Thursday, October 23, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at her residence.

A funeral service will be conducted 2:00pm Monday, October 27, 2025, at Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Gunter officiating the service. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 1:00pm Monday at the church.

Mrs. Smith was born in Guilford County to the late Hilary and Ruby Greene. She was a faithful member of Bethel Baptist Church and retired from Moses Cone Hospital after fifty years of service.  She showed the heart of a servant by visiting others and preparing meals in their time of need. She was friendly to everyone she met and was loved by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles Smith, son Michael Todd Jarvis and brother Jerry Greene

Mrs. Smith is survived by her children Larry Jarvis (Kelly) and Lisa Hunt (Billy Ray); several stepchildren; sisters Jane Lowdermilk and Bonnie Wall; two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and several step-grandchildren.
