Mrs. Sarah Martin Kellam

Sarah Martin Kellam, daughter of the late Hugh and Verna Martin, passed away on August 15, 2025.

She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Cecil Kellam in 1997 and by her sister and closest friend, Irene Wheeless in 2005 and great grandson, Emmett Cecil in 2021  She is survived by two sons Randy and Marty, two wonderful daughters-in-law, Gail and Rosemary, two grandchildren, Amelia and Daniel and wife Jessie, three great grandchildren Boone, Wade and Lee and one niece Vicky.

Cecil and Sarah were former members of Pinecroft Baptist Church where they worked with the youth ministry and other activities of the church.  Sarah was also a member of Friendly Avenue Baptist Church.  At the age of 40 Sarah went back to school.  After graduation she worked at Southern Rubber Company for 31 years and then at Hospice for 22 years where she made many friends; Bob, Greg, Kim, Gail, and Sue to name a few. 

Sarah was a resident at Friends Homes at Guilford for 18 years where she loved the employees and was grateful for all their care.  Sarah was also appreciative of the care that her doctors have given her over the years, particularly her eye doctor Sally Miller.

The family will greet friends at George Brothers Funeral Home: 803 Greenhaven Dr. Greensboro, NC 27406 on Tuesday August 19 at 1:15pm with a Memorial Celebration to follow at 2:00pm.  Burial will be at Lakeview Memorial Park 3600 O'Henry Blvd, Greensboro NC 27405.
