Myrtle Elizabeth (Kiger) Hedrick

Myrtle Elizabeth Kiger Hedrick , 93, of Greensboro  went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at her home with her family by her side.

Funeral will be 11:00 AM Monday, August 23, 2021 at Shannon Hills Bible Chapel with burial to follow at Guilford Memorial Park.

Myrtle was born November 6, 1927 to the late Sollie and Myrtle Kiger. She lived in Kernersville until 1946 when she married Olen Francis Hedrick and moved to Greensboro. Myrtle worked with Wrangler for thirty-eight years retiring from the position Purchasing Manager. Following her retirement in 1989, she began volunteering in the gift shop at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital where she served for an additional fifteen years. Myrtle delighted in attending her church, Shannon Hills Bible Chapel for sixty-four years where she taught Sunday school, helped with vacation Bible school, worked with the missionary group and served on the Ladies Committee.

Along with her parents, Myrtle is preceded in death by her husband, Olen; four brothers, Laurston, Ollie, Luther, and Clyde; and four sisters, Minnie, Della, Irma, and Betty Ruth.

Myrtle is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Hedrick of Greensboro; sisters, Frances Young (Carl) of Summerfield and Shirley Whitaker of Kernersville.

The family will receive friends from 10-10:45 am on Monday, August 23, 2021 at the church prior to the service.
