Myrtle Dixon Leonard

Mrs. Myrtle Dixon Leonard, 91, passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2024 at Moses Cone Hospital.

A funeral service will be held at 1:30 pm Friday, May 31, 2024 at Restoration at the Rock Church with burial to follow at Lakeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Myrtle was born in Guilford County on March 30, 1933, to the late Earnest and Mary Staley Dixon. She was a lifelong member of Rocky Knoll Baptist Church where she served as a nursery worker for many years . In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred B. Leonard; son, Rodney Thomas Leonard; sisters, Virginia Dixon Kleinsasser, Lilian Dixon Poole, Louise Dixon Wheeler and Ruth Dixon McDaniel.

Surviving are daughter, Lelesia Leonard Allen (David) of Climax; grandchildren, Barry Reid, Waylon Reid, Erika Eller (Lee); great grandchildren, Haylie Jones, Nathanael Eller, Nicholas Eller; one great-great grandchild, Zoe Palmer; and a host of nieces and nephews.
