Nancy F. Jones

Nancy F. Jones, 75, of Greensboro, passed away on August 30, 2023.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday at George Brothers Funeral Service. The burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10-11:00am, prior to the service.

Nancy was born in St. Petersburg, Florida on December 5, 1947, to the late Bennett and Vera Gambrell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie Jones. She attended Crosspoint Church for many years and was general manager of AutoBell Car Wash for thirteen years. Her employees knew her as their “second mom”. She also worked in the purchasing department for Cone Mills. Nancy loved her family dearly, including her two beloved cats, “BB” and “Angel”. She enjoyed spending time with them as often as she could. Her other interests included doing yardwork, gardening, decorating, crafts and was always willing to give to others. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Nancy is survived by her children, Tammy Williamson (Brigette), Donna Poovey (Stewart) and Ray Jackson; her step daughters, Dina Knowles (John) and Shannon McDuffie (David); seven grandchildren and her two sisters, Susan Sanders (Buddy) and Gene Haynes.
