Olan Wayne McCannon

Mr. Olan Wayne McCannon, 72, of Eden passed away at his home on Saturday, December 14, 2024.

Memorial service will be 6:00pm on Friday, December 20, 2024 at George Brothers Funeral Service. The family will receive friends from 5:00-6:00pm at the funeral home prior to the service.

Olan is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Guilford McCannon, Jr. and Addie Kathleen Bischer McCannon and brothers Jimmy McCannon and Joe McCannon.

Mr. McCannon was born and raised in Guilford County and he previously attended McConnell Road Baptist Church. He was a collector of many things but he especially enjoyed gathering old tools. He loved his family, had a kind word about everyone, and enjoyed the simple pleasures in life.

Olan is survived by his siblings George McCannon (Brenda), Madge Patton, Sylvia Keaton (Patricia Crocker) and John McCannon; sister-in-law Kaye McCannon; nephew Josh McCannon; neighbor and friend Jimmy Deal; long-time friend Joe Ensor; and many friends and extended family members who will miss him dearly.
