Mrs. Patricia Farish Daniel, 88, passed away Sunday May 17, 2026 while at Beacon Place surrounded by her loving family.
Patricia was born January 5, 1938 in Norfolk, VA to the late George W. Farish and Grace Stone Walker Farish. She is also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Faith Ida Daniel.
She graduated high school and worked as a secretary. Her greatest joy in life was raising her family and walking alongside her husband of 68 years, James Walter Daniel. They raised their family in Cherry Hill, New Jersey and later retired in Virginia Beach, Virginia. They moved to Greensboro in 2020 to be closer to their sons.
Patricia was of the Methodist faith and sang in the choir at her church in New Jersey. Her favorite scriptures brought her encouragement in knowing that her Heavenly Father would never leave her. She was also a talented pianist and a lover of all animals.
Mrs. Daniel is survived by her husband, James Walter; sons Jeffrey Randolph Daniel (Nicole), Robert Clifton Daniel (Alison); grandsons Robert Mitchell (Ellie) and Calvin Garrett. Also surviving is her sister, Sandra Green and her brothers, George “Boot” Farish and Michael Farish.
The family will receive friends on Friday, May 22 from 1:00 - 1:45 with a service following at 2:00 PM at the chapel of George Brothers funeral service. Burial will follow at Guil-Rand Memorial Park Cemetery.
