Patricia Lamb Young, 94, of Greensboro, went home to be with her Savior on March 17, 2026.
Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon on Friday, March 20, 2026 at Good Shepherd Church of Greensboro. The burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Pat Young was born in Guilford County on November 27, 1931. She was saved and married at Pomona Baptist Church (later known as Clifton Road Baptist Church) and was currently a member of Good Shepherd Baptist Church of Greensboro. She was a devout Christian dedicated to being a witness for the Lord. Through many years of declining health, her faith kept her going and she always told others about her Savior. This was a tremendous witness not only to her family, but all that knew her. She will be remembered as a prayer warrior and was always active in the Baptist Women’s Circle and directing the nursery.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Young, Sr.; parents, Eugene and Isabelle Lamb; and brother, Charles William Lamb.
She is survived by her children, Cynthia “Cindy” Young (Mike), Reverend Bill Young, Jr. (Dianne), and Darrell Young (Faye); grandchildren, Billy Young, III, Brad Young (Janet), Becky Seamans (Marty), Danielle Spradling (Jason), Brent Young (Megan), Amanda Williams (Blake), L’erin Haskins (Travis), and Amanda Krites; and seventeen great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild, and one on the way; and sister, Peggy Lamb Colson.
Memorial contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Church of Greensboro, 4453 Sumner Church Road, Greensboro NC 27406, or Pennybyrn at Maryfield, 109 Penny Road, High Point NC 27260.
The family would like to express heartfelt appreciation to Pennybyrn for their caring and compassionate care during her time with them. We sincerely appreciate their kindness and attentiveness.
